1997

  • NaviSite, Inc. is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, with subsidiary offices and data centers across the United States, United Kingdom and India.
  • April 18: www.NaviSite.com is first registered

1998

  • Oct 22: NaviSite is incorporated.

1999

  • Jan 25: NaviSite expands operations into Europe through an agreement with Planet Online Limited in Leeds, U.K., which is home to Europe's largest web server farm.
  • October: NaviSite listed on NASDAQ (NASDAQ: NAVI)

2000

  • May 10: NaviSite opens new office in Austin, Texas, also known as Silicon Hills. Austin represents a new market opportunity for NaviSite.
  • Nov 13: NaviSite named to the Standard 100 Powered by Epoch Partners, a premier stock index tracking the internet economy. The Standard 100 strives to include the most influential companies driving the internet economy.
  • Dec 13: NaviSite announces expansion to London, providing NaviSite with an opportunity to sustain global leadership and increase sales in the European marketplace.

2001

  • Jan 2: NaviSite unveils e-Metric service to provide market-leading measurement and analysis capabilities on an ASP basis. NaviSite's e-Metric service is the only metrics service of its kind available from a managed service provider as a cost-effective, shared service or a dedicated managed system.
  • Mar 07: NaviSite announces the next generation of its secure customer care next generation customer care console, MyNaviSite. This enhanced version delivers innovative management and reporting capabilities.
  • Aug 20: NaviSite wins Web Hosting Magazine's 'Best Hosts' Award, chosen based on our range of services, industry reputation, quality, financial stability, and positive and well-managed growth.
  • Nov 16: NaviSite successfully completes SAS 70 Type II Audit. The systems and processes evaluated in this audit include security monitoring, change management, problem management, etc.

2002

  • Dec 31: NaviSite acquires ClearBlue Technologies Management, Inc. CBTM is a leading provider of applications management and integration services for mid-sized to large enterprises and government agencies.

2003

  • Jan 29: NaviSite enters into a definitive agreement to acquire Avasta, Inc., a leading provider of Managed Application services, as well as creator of the application operations technology Avasta Application Management Suite.
  • April 02: NaviSite completes the acquisition of Conxion Corporation (Conxion), a Silicon Valley-based managed services provider. Conxion brings software distribution services and security expertise for over 195 customers, established channel relationships, and internet infrastructure throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.
  • May 20: NaviSite completes the acquisition of Interliant, Inc a managed infrastructure solutions provider. Interliant, headquartered in Purchase, New York, specializes in managing corporate email, messaging and collaboration applications, and IT infrastructure for more than 300 customers.
  • Oct 1: Interliant UK renamed NaviSite Europe Limited. The new NaviSite Europe brings the benefits of NaviSite's extensive U.S. infrastructure and additional product offerings to its existing and future customers.
  • Oct 1: NaviSite introduces Hosted Exchange 2003 Services. NaviSite's new service provides the latest release of Microsoft's email and collaboration platform for mid-market companies.

2004

  • Jan 1: NaviSite announces public offering of common stock. The net proceeds of the offering are used to enhance and expand network infrastructure and to acquire complementary businesses and technologies.
  • Jun 14: NaviSite acquires Surebridge, Inc. a privately held provider of managed application services for mid-market companies. Based in Lexington, Mass., Surebridge offers a portfolio of managed application and professional services.
  • July 12: NaviSite achieves recognition among top Microsoft Business Solution Resellers.

2005

  • Jan 30: NaviSite launches its India operations, NaviSite India Private Limited, based in New Delhi, India, to expand NaviSite's international footprint and provide the ability to rapidly scale operations.
  • Dec 14: NaviSite launches formalized Help Desk Support Services for its customers. NaviSite's Application Help Desk Support Services provide front-line support for application-related questions regarding Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, and Siebel.

2006

  • Jun 13: NaviSite ranks 210 among North America’s top 500 Technology Integrators by CMP Technology’s VARBusiness Magazine.
  • Oct 17: NaviSite announces free support to operate the America’s Job Bank (AJB).
  • Oct 20: NaviSite achieves Oracle® Certified Advantage Partner Status, the highest level in the Oracle® PartnerNetwork.

2007

  • Mar 26: NaviSite launches AmericasJobExchange.com as a successor to America’s Job Bank (AJB).
  • Aug 13: NaviSite acquires Alabanza and Jupiter Hosting.
    • Baltimore, MD based Alabanza offers a comprehensive suite of dedicated and shared web hosting services.
    • Santa Clara, CA based Jupiter Hosting offers dedicated and complex managed hosting and infrastructure services; the company also has a data center located in Santa Clara, CA.
  • Oct 05: NaviSite joins the Green Grid, a non-profit consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems.
  • Sep 12: NaviSite enters into a definitive merger to acquire privately-owned applications management service provider netASPx. netASPx offers applications management services with a focus on Lawson Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Kronos Workforce Management and Business Intelligence Applications.
  • Nov 30: NaviSite is included in the NASDAQ Internet Index. The Internet Index is designed to track the performance of the largest and most liquid internet stocks listed and actively traded on all of the major U.S. stock exchanges.

2008

  • Jan 14: NaviSite expands service portfolio with its comprehensive suite of services to address compliance requirements for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
  • Feb 07: NaviSite launches newly designed corporate website (www.NaviSite.com). The new website presents a comprehensive view of the NaviSite service portfolio using a simple interface and intuitive flow.

2009

  • Jan 19: NaviSite Wins FindMyHost Editors’ Choice Award for its Dedicated Hosting Solutions that provide customers with the very best service and support.
  • Mar 25: NaviSite selected by Microsoft Corp. to be a Microsoft BizSpark Program network provider for hosting services and SaaS-based solutions.
  • Oct 13: NaviSite announces NaviCloud Managed Cloud Services (MCS), becoming one of the first companies in the world to offer a cloud computing platform combining Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS) and VMWare for virtualization.

2010

  • Apr 19: NaviSite announces the availability of enterprise application-focused Managed Cloud Services.
